In 1967, a young man from Hampton sacrificed his life to save his fellow soldiers in the Vietnam War. Today, a fitting tribute to this soldier and all those who bravely served our country now graces the skyline of downtown Hampton, Virginia. In addition to the city's many administrative offices inside this beautiful brick building, there is a bronze bust of First Lieutenant Sargent in the main lobby, honoring the Medal of Honor recepient.
